As the below lawsuit revealed, the media nonsense reporting "the disastrous execution of Kenneth Smith" was, of course . . . nonsense.
No surprise, if one had reviewed the 60 years of detailed history of deaths by nitrogen hypoxia, nor was it any surprise with the vast majority of false reporting on "botched" lethal injections.
Such fictions have become "journalism" standards, as I have detailed, for many years.
“The resolution of this case confirms that Alabama’s nitrogen hypoxia system is reliable and humane,” said Attorney General Marshall. “Miller’s complaint was based on media speculation that Kenneth Smith suffered cruel and unusual punishment in the January 2024 execution, but what the State demonstrated to Miller’s legal team undermined that false narrative. Miller’s execution will go forward as planned in September.”

The state of Alabama punctured a man's bladder trying to get a peripheral IV and denied they had a "problem." I'm not going to take a quote from their press release at face value.
As I have detailed, throughout, don't trust the media on anything death penalty related.
You are speaking of a well known lethal injection case, not a nitrogen case . One case, a bladder puncture, compared to this:
How many innocent patients die, every year, in the US, from medical misadventure? Somewhere in between 40,000 and 400,000. Look it up.
AS death row attorney Joseph Perkovich stated: “When people die from nitrogen hypoxia, they’re not aware that they’re dying. They [just] lose consciousness and die. We could go to the nitrogen supply shop over the weekend and get canisters. I mean, many kitchens in downtown Phoenix have said canisters we’re talking about.“ Michael McDaniel, Courthouse News Service, June 3, 2022
Thank you for writing about this, Anthony. Alabama's Kafkaesque death machine is grotesque. We can't amplify that enough.
Horrifying. Thank you to the Instagrammer who posted the link to this piece.
The death penalty is barbaric and needs to be abolished.

I'm speaking of a well-known case of ADOC getting caught lying. Which is why I'm not going to trust their press release for details on an execution.
I hope you fact check the quote and report back.
